They were greeted on their return to school by pom pom carrying 7th & 8th graders and a lot of cheering! Good work – you sure made us proud!

The 5-8 Bands and Chorus Concert and Gallery Walk was a delight! Listening to musicians and admiring art work – great combination!

COMMUNICATION IS KEY!

The end of the year is fast approaching, and there are lots of upcoming events! Please be sure to stay up to date by reading the newsletter, checking our website and Facebook page, and emailing teachers when necessary. The school year doesn't wind down, it completely ramps up!!

ARE YOU MOVING? WE'LL MISS YOU!

If you are moving and your child will not return to Woolwich in the fall, please contact the office at 443-9739, or blane@rsu1.org as soon as possible. If you are moving within the district, please be sure to let us know as well. Thank you.

BOOK SWAP JUNE 5 & 6

Have you brought in any books for the book swap yet? The more you donate, the more books you'll get to choose! Bring them in on Monday, and mark the number of books next to your teacher's name. The class with the most donated books gets to visit the swap first!

LIBRARY BOOKS AND LUNCH BILLS

It's not too soon to be thinking about lost library books and unpaid lunch bills! The sooner they are taken care of the less you have to worry about them! If your child is staying in this school (or district), any money left on their lunch account will be there for them in September! June 14th will be here before you know it!

PEST MANAGEMENT

As spring has finally sprung in Maine, I know there have been concerns raised about ticks and other insects who are making their way out of their hiding places. We are working closely with Dave Richards, RSU 1 Facilities Manager, to address these concerns. He has walked our playgrounds with our pest management consultant to explore our options and we have an Integrated Pest Management plan that we have to follow by the state as we move forward. As these concerns are being addressed, we continue to follow precautionary procedures of checking for ticks as students come in from being outside. In the event that one is found the student meets with Nurse Sherwood to address it immediately.
