LUNCH UPDATE

 LINES FROM THE LIBRARY

Many students at WCS have been participating in Global Read Aloud again this year! 3rd-5th grade students just finished Stella Diaz Has Something to Say, by Angela Dominguez. They have been gathering together weekly as a wing to enjoy guest readers and shared discussion. K-2 are participating in GRA during library classes with picture books by Yuyi Morales. Through these books, we have connected with each other and students all over the world using Padlet and Flipgrid. It’s a fun way to show how books can connect us!

HEALTHY HIGHLIGHTS

Flu season is upon us, and flu clinics abound.  I highly encourage all that are able to get a flu shot.  Here are three upcoming clinics where you do NOT need an appointment and shots are free:

- Tuesday, 11/5 at the Bath Middle School  2:30 PM - 7:30 PM

- Monday, 11/18 at Dike Newell School  4:00 PM - 7:00 PM

- Monday, 11/25 at the Woolwich Central School 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM

For our clinic this year I am going to allow your students to get flu shots without the parent/guardian being present.  If that is what you desire you MUST fill out a form in advance of the clinic.  I have them on my desk so you should call me, (or send me an email) to have one sent home. You can also stop by to fill it out. Students cannot get a shot without you here, if the form is not completed. I am offering this as many parents work and it is hard to get here.  There is NO CHARGE for this flu shot. If you have any questions please let me know. ~ Nurse Sherwood

WCS BASKETBALL

Tryouts will be held Thursday, November 7th with the boys going from 3:00PM - 4:30PM and the girls going from 5:30PM - 7:00PM.  Please note that Physical forms must be turned in before tryouts in order to take the floor. Athletes who participated in a fall sport are all clear to tryout.  Athletes who did not participate in a fall sport need to have a form signed by their doctor stating they are clear to participate. Forms are online or you can pick them up in the WCS office.

THIS IS IMPORTANT !!!!!!!!  Please do not wait. Get the forms done now.

November and December practice and game schedules will be posted online when finalized.  I have not received a game schedule but a tentative first game will be November 26th.

We are all looking forward to an exciting season.

Go Wildcats!
