They finished in a respectable 8th place out of 18 teams at one of the more difficult conference championships in recent memory. I’m so proud of our kids. We had a mixed bag of results today but we have kids who are working extremely hard and are battling until the final whistle. No game is too big or opponent too strong. -Field hockey lost 5-1 to a great Belfast team. -Girls soccer beat Lincoln Academy 3-2. The win almost ensures a playoff appearance by the Lady ‘Builders. Next Saturday from 9:00-1:00 will be the Ford Drive 4UR School event at Tucker Ford in Brunswick. All you have to do is show up with a valid drivers license and test drive a Ford. We had to get a little creative with transportation tomorrow... *Note the softball game time change is 4:30 at Oak Hill* Softball and baseball will travel on the same bus. They will depart at 1:45 from Morse (athletes - please be prompt and ready to leave at 1:45!) and go to Greely first and drop baseball around 2:30. They will then go to Oak Hill and drop softball at 3:15ish. The Oak Hill bus will take softball home and a different driver will come get baseball around 5:30. #GoShipbuilders
Playoff games and times are set! -Boys lacrosse is headed to Gardiner on Tuesday 6/4 for a 4:00 prelim game against the Tigers. -Baseball is hosting the Oak Hill Raiders on Tuesday 6/4 at 4:00 in a prelim game. -Softball earned a first round bye and is headed to Oak Hill for a quarterfinal game at 4:00 on Thursday 6/6. #GoShipbuilders

Baseball and softball schedule change (I feel like a broken record at this point) due to impending weather on Friday. -Varsity baseball and softball will play Freeport at Kelley and Tainter at 5:00 on Thursday 5/16. -JV softball is tentatively planning to play at 3:30 at 96 Hunter Road in Freeport on Thursday 5/16. We still need to confirm a bus for this game, which will happen by 6:30 on Thursday morning. -JV baseball - Freeport cannot secure umpires for tomorrow, so we are looking to schedule this game early on Saturday 5/18. Do your kids play sports at McMann Field? We are in the process of upgrading the sound system for the turf field. If you want to volunteer or if any athletes out there want to volunteer, come on by McMann at 5pm with a shovel and a heavy rake. We have to back fill a 640' trench for new wire. You can watch boys lacrosse play while you do it! This is a good chance to give back to the facility!
