FIRE DRILL UPDATE
Now that we are all back in the building full time we are taking a little extra time to review all of our safety procedures. In the event of a true emergency, we may be in a position where we would have to move further away from the building. Today, we practiced that scenario, and after evacuating the building we moved as a school over to the soccer field. Our students were informed ahead of time and I am pleased to report that they handled this transition with ease. They were focused and did well following directions. As always, please contact the office if you have any questions.
PICTURE RETAKE DAY
WCS Picture retake day will be on Monday, 10/25 for students who missed the original picture day back in September. Pictures will be available online next week and can be purchased online directly from the site. As soon as they are ready, we will send info home with students including a code to access your student photos online.
BUS DRIVER APPRECIATION DAY
Wednesday, October 20th is Bus Driver Appreciation Day! Please make sure you thank your bus drivers and show your appreciation for them all week. Write them a note, bring them a flower, or just say a friendly “thank you” with a smile!
PTA
Help Wanted! The WCS PTA is looking for a treasurer to join our board! If you are organized and willing to commit a few hours each month to help the PTA, we would love to hear from you! Please email mywcspta@gmail.com if you are interested in the position or would like more information! Our next meeting will be November 10th at 6 PM in the WCS library- we'd love to see some new faces there!
ATTENDANCE REMINDER
Please remember to call the office if your student is out of school for any reason. This helps us track who is in the building and is especially helpful during drills and emergencies. Parents can call the front office at 207-443-9739 to report an absence. We appreciate your help!

BATH YMCA
The Bath YMCA will be hosting a FREE Family Fall Harvest Day on Saturday 10/16 from 10am - 2pm. They will have games, a bouncy house, food and more!
TRICK OR TRUNK
It’s the spookiest time of year! The annual Church of the Midcoast presents their Trick-or-Trunk event which will be held on Saturday October 30th at 45 Floral Street in Bath, Maine from 5:00 - 7:00pm. Stop by for games, music, treats, and safe Halloween fun for the whole family! Everyone is welcome!!
