Mrs. Snell shared photos of today's Fifth grade trip to Maine's First Ship, to learn more about the Popham Colony and the Virginia. They got to see and try on some clothes, hats, and boots made in the style of those early days that the colonists would have worn. They saw tools like those used by the colonists. They also saw Maine's First Ship replica of the Virginia, and imagined what it would be like to sail the Atlantic Ocean in an early sailing ship without today's amenities and safety/navigation equipment.

Mrs. Tardif's kindergarten class made slime yesterday, and boy were there LOTS of giggles! They mixed and stirred, and mixed some more! The children did a great job explaining the various textures. Check out these photos! Remember: The Glow Run on our track is scheduled for this Thursday (11/2) from 5:30 - 6:30pm. We hope to see you there, as we raise funds for snow shoes!

Dot Day!
Please join us in celebrating International Dot Day on Friday, September 15th. IDD is a global celebration of creativity, courage, and collaboration, that began twenty years ago. As a school, we will read Peter H. Reynolds’ book The Dot which is the story of a caring teacher who dares a doubting student to trust in her own abilities by being brave enough to “make her mark”. What begins with a small dot on a piece of paper becomes a breakthrough in confidence and courage, Join the fun by wearing, displaying or making a dot poster! We'll have extra dots on hand to share.
